How to make crochet puff stitch baby hat



Skill Level - Easy

CH - Chain
SL ST - Slip Stitch
PS - Puff Stitch

Materials
Size 4mm crochet hook
4 ply yarn of 3 colors

Puff Stitch:5 loops

Ø  Wrap the yarn over the hook, insert the hook below the chain. Wrap the yarn over the hook and draw through. There will be 3 loops on the hook.

Ø  Wrap the yarn over the hook, insert the hook below the chain. Wrap the yarn over the hook and draw through. There will be 5 loops on the hook.

Ø 
Wrap the yarn over the hook, pull the yarn through all 5 loops.

Ø  Wrap the yarn over the hook, pull through(chain) to secure puff stitches at the top

Ø  Chain8, join with the beginning chain

Ø  *work 8 puff stitch around, join with the beginning puff stitch. Slip stitch in to the space between the puff stitch.

Ø  Work 2 puff stitch in each space around, join with the     beginning puff stitch. Slip stitch in to the space between the puff stitch.(16 puff stitch total)

Ø  Work 2 PS in the space, *Work 2 puff stitch in the next space, work……

Ø  (32puff stitch total)

1 PuffStitch in each space around, join with the beginning puff stitch.(3linesrepeat)

 Puff stitch square-ch6,join with slip stitch ,form a ring.12 sc in the ring, then 12 puff stitch into the next line .in the next 1 puff s t, 2ch,1puffst,in the corner, in middle 2ch, 1sc……repeat all around.

I have made 7 puff stitch square motif and join together one by one…..

In the last round I have made isc in every st, in last 2^nd round 5dc, skip2 st,1sc repeat all around.

 EAR FLAP-7puffst, in the( 2 side of cap)

Decrease2, in the 2^nd line,total5 puff st….

Decrease2 ,in the3rd  line(3puff)lastly1 puff stitch in the last round. Join the ribbon. You can attach one pompom in the top of your hat. THANK YOU………….
